Blaze a Trail for Your Students with MCGT
Parents and community members have asked St. Croix Valley Gifted for even more outreach efforts on behalf of area gifted kids. Now is the time for parents, caregivers, educators, and community members to blaze new trails together for GT students — because all kids deserve chances to learn and grow each day.
Why Now?
Changes in federal ESSA legislation (replacement for NCLB) take effect in Fall 2017. Schools face new requirements to measure learning growth among GT students, and new funding options under Title I and Title II to reach more kids.
St. Croix Valley Gifted is gathering focused, constructive community voices to clear the path and advocate for data-driven, research-based instruction and relevant supports for the St. Croix Valley’s K-12 gifted learners and their teachers.
This chapter has achieved a lot — but we need your help to keep making a difference for local students!
Inspire & Innovate Together
What’s in place for kids now? What’s been missing? What makes sense? What can we do next so local youth have opportunities to thrive? What we choose to do now helps kids blaze new trails of their own.
